Getting to Oxford
Travellers from abroad may arrive by plane at:
- London Heathrow; the Oxford Bus Company Airline service coach goes directly from Heathrow to Oxford. Airport transfers by taxi can also be arranged.
- London Gatwick; the Oxford Bus Company Airline service coach goes directly from Gatwick to Oxford. Airport transfers by taxi can also be arranged.

London Stansted and Luton; flights to these airports from Europe can often be cheaper, but travellers should note the additional cost and time of transfers to Oxford.
- Birmingham International Airport; there are frequent trains from Birmingham to Oxford (see national rail Information).
The Mathematical Institute is close to Oxford and Oxford Parkway stations.

- Taxis from outside Oxford Train Station to the Mathematical Institute should be approximately £7.00.
- From London, take the Oxford Bus Company X90 service or the Oxford Tube coach to Oxford.

- Gloucester Green Coach Station is a 12 minute walk to the Mathematical Institute.
- Please be aware there is limited public parking available in the centre of Oxford. The University has very limited parking. We advise using the Park & Ride services, parking at Pear Tree and taking the #300 bus which stops opposite the entrance to the Mathematical Institute on Woodstock Road.
